Installed TabTuyo, but your new tab hasn’t changed?

Some browsers, especially Microsoft Edge, may turn off an extension that changes the new-tab page until you confirm that you want the change.

  1. Open your browser’s Extensions page. Choose one of these options:
    • Use the browser menu: open the three-dot menu, then choose Extensions → Manage extensions.
    • In Chrome: type chrome://extensions in the address bar and press Enter.
    • In Edge: type edge://extensions in the address bar and press Enter.
  2. Find TabTuyo and switch it on.
  3. Open a new tab. If your browser asks whether to keep TabTuyo’s new-tab change, confirm it if that is what you want. The button wording varies by browser.

Enter these addresses in the address bar at the top of your browser, not in a search box on the page.

A confirmation about changing your new-tab page is a browser safeguard that gives you control over your settings. By itself, it does not mean the browser has found TabTuyo unsafe.

If the browser instead reports malware, a harmful extension, or an administrator restriction, that is a different situation. Follow the browser’s guidance rather than bypassing that warning.
